Your first Appointment
The challenges of life aren’t easy and can certainly seem difficult to talk about. I am very much aware of this, so for your first session, I facilitate a calm dialog to help you feel comfortable about opening up and discussing your concerns. I share my work process with you along with the expectations and requirements for our therapy sessions.
How often should I come in?
Everyone comes to therapy for different reasons and with different expectations. Many clients start with a weekly session. However, depending on your reason for seeking help, we can discuss a different schedule once you are comfortable.
If you’re in a period of trauma or would like to establish a solid foundation for regular treatment, we will happily discuss a more frequent schedule until you are comfortable with a less frequent one.
In order to avoid delays for yourself and other clients, we respectfully ask that you be on time. If you are going to be late, please let us know as quickly as you can, as postponement may be unavoidable if we have other clients waiting.
We understand that cancellations are often unavoidable. For emergency cancellations, please contact us as soon as possible. For all non-emergency cancellations, we do require 24 hours notice. Cancellations with less than 24 hours notice will be subject to a cancellation fee.
